Public Comment Period for School Property Use

During its meeting on Tuesday, May 6, the Board of Education will take public comment on two recommendations for school property use. The public comment period will begin at 7:15 PM.

  • To meet the growing demand for Career and Technical Education classes, the district recommends repurposing the Riley Elementary building as a new Career and Technical Center.
  • To meet the needs of high school athletic teams during the rebuilds of Highland High School and West High School, the district recommends upgrades to the fields at the following schools:
    • Clayton Middle School,
    • Glendale Middle School,
    • Backman Elementary School,
    • Dilworth Elementary School, and
    • Mary W. Jackson Elementary School.
