Opt In For Text Messages

Salt Lake City School District uses text message notifications as an additional way to inform parents and employee regarding possible school closures, emergencies, and other important information. Please make sure you follow these instructions to be able to receive our text messages.

  1. Your cell phone number must be in our database of contact information. If you are not sure if your cell phone number is in our database, you can check using your parent account on PowerSchool, or you can contact the secretary at your student's school. They should be able to check our database and add your cell phone number, if needed.
  2. You must also opt-in to receiving text messages by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school district’s short code number, 67587.

You can opt out of these messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with "Stop". Please rest assured that your information is safe and will never be given or sold to anyone.

If you have any questions about these text notifications or want to add your cell phone number to our database, please contact your student’s school.
