Over the last weeks, I have shared with you my goal for Salt Lake City School District to become the flagship district in our state.

When I started as superintendent in July, I described Salt Lake City School District as a “gem.” Now, after several weeks of visiting schools, getting to know our employees, and meeting community members across the city, I am even more convinced that our district truly is a gem.

Salt Lake City School District joined with the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office, the Utah Transit Authority, and the Salt Lake Education Foundation this week to announce the second year of a partnership that provides free UTA transit passes to district students and employees.
