Graduation recognition awardees

The Career and Technical Education (CTE) program in Salt Lake City School District is proud to announce that more than

The CTE program offers students in our community the opportunity to complete a rigorous course of study in 13 career clusters (CTE Pathways) covering at least 34 career fields. These clusters are designed to assure strong academic and technical preparation for post-secondary study and/or gainful employment after high school. Students who successfully complete at least three credits in a specific pathway as their focus will have the opportunity to increase their readiness for study at a college or university or specialized training and acquire the skills necessary for entry into a well-paid career with high potential for rapid financial growth and personal satisfaction.

Research shows students who complete at least two CTE courses are less likely to drop out of high school. CTE students graduate from college and/or complete specialized training programs at a higher rate than students who did not take CTE courses during high school.
