Parent Access to Student Library Accounts

The Salt Lake City School District believes that students should have opportunities to read a wide variety of engaging books. When students choose books that reflect their interests, they develop a love for reading and learning. The district has fully certified teacher librarians at every school who curate collections of books in every school. Students can check books out at the school or use Sora, our online library, to check out ebooks and audiobooks.

We love parents to be actively engaged in their child's reading and interests! Talking with your child about what they are reading helps them process what they’ve read, make connections to their own experiences, and articulate their thoughts and opinions. It also shows them that their reading is valued, fostering a love for reading and learning.

If you would like to view our collection or see what your student is currently reading, you can log into their library accounts following these directions. Please reach out to your student's teacher librarian if you have any questions or need help getting logged in.
