Summer Schedule

The district’s summer schedule begins this week. All Salt Lake City School District offices, schools and facilities will be closed one day each week, starting Friday, June 14, 2024, through Friday, August 09, 2024.

District closure dates

• Friday, June 14
• Monday, June 17 (Juneteenth holiday observed)
• Friday, 28
• Thursday, July 4 (Independence Day holiday)
• Friday, July 12
• Friday, July 19
• Wednesday, July 24 (Pioneer Day holiday)
• Friday, August 2
• Friday, August 9

All operations will return to five-day/week schedule Monday, August 12, 2024.

The only exception to the 4-day work week will be the Child Nutrition Department to support the National Summer School Lunch Program, Horizonte Instructional and Training Center, and essential construction projects.
